Diocesan Synod Elections 2023

DIOCESAN SYNOD

There is a vacancy for a lay person to serve as a representative of Reculver Deanery on the Diocesan Synod for the next year. The Diocesan Synod is the body that works with the Bishop on matters affecting the present and future of the Diocese.

It consists of clergy and laity from across the Diocese, it meets three times a year (2 Saturdays and one Wednesday evening), and deals with strategy, money, ministry and important questions referred to it by the General Synod. Being on the Diocesan Synod means you are automatically on your Deanery Synod and your PCC (and DCC in the Whitstable Team) and this particular position only lasts until new elections next year.

Please pray for right persons to come forward for election to this vacancy.  If you think this might be you, or you can think of someone who would be appropariate, please speak with your Deanery Synod members.  The deadline for nominations to be received by our Deanery Secretary (Rev Sue Martin) is Sunday 16 April 2023.  Nomination forms will be available from your Deanery Synod members within the next few days.

Full eligibility details are below, and if you require any further information, please do contact me.
